Question 1

What exactly is somatic sexology and sexological bodywork?

Somatic sexology is an embodied approach to exploring sexuality, pleasure, desire, intimacy, and erotic expression. Rather than only talking about what happens in your sexual life, we pay attention to what is happening in the body: sensation, breath, movement, arousal, boundaries, pleasure, resistance, and the ways your body communicates its yes, no, and maybe.

Sexological bodywork brings intentional, consent-based touch into this exploration. Depending on your goals and boundaries, sessions may include breathwork, movement, body awareness, nervous system regulation, pleasure mapping, and educational touch. Touch is always negotiated, purposeful, and guided by your consent.

At Sovereign Eros, this work is grounded in the understanding that our relationships with our bodies and pleasure do not exist outside of culture, identity, trauma, shame, or systems of power. The intention is not to perform, achieve a particular sexual response, or become "better at sex." It is to develop deeper embodied wisdom while learning to listen to your body, understand your desire, expand your capacity for pleasure, and cultivate greater choice and freedom in your erotic life.

Is this therapy or counseling?

No. This is not therapy, psychotherapy, or medical treatment, Somatic bodywork is an educational and somatic practice. If you are working with a therapist, this work can complement that — many clients find the two practices support each other beautifully. If you are in acute mental health crisis, please seek appropriate clinical support first.

Question 3

Is this sexual services?

Accepted Answer

Yes and no. Sexuality, pleasure, desire, and erotic embodiment are central to the work of Sovereign Eros. These services are intentionally designed to help you reconnect with your sexual self, deepen your capacity for pleasure, explore desire, and cultivate greater erotic agency and freedom. In that sense, this work is absolutely sexual.

What Sovereign Eros does not offer is sexual gratification as a service. This is a professional, educational, touch-based somatic practice in which erotic energy and sexuality may be engaged intentionally as part of learning, exploration, and embodied growth. Touch is guided by clear agreements, consent, boundaries, and the goals of the work.

This distinction is not a judgment about sex work. Sex work is valid, valuable, and deserving of respect. It is simply a different kind of service from what is offered here.

At Sovereign Eros, sexuality is not something we avoid or sanitize. We are inhabiting it with greater awareness, pleasure, and freedom.

Who is this work for?

This work is for anyone who wants a more embodied, sovereign relationship with their erotic self. I center BIPOC and LGBTQ+ bodies, and welcome people of all genders, orientations, identities, and relationship structures.

You do not need to have a specific problem to benefit from this work. Many clients come simply because they want more. More presence, more pleasure, more aliveness, more connection to their bodies, and greater freedom in how they experience and express desire.

This work may also be for you if you are exploring your sexuality or identity, reconnecting with pleasure after shame or disconnection, learning to recognize and trust your desires and boundaries, or wanting to feel more at home in your erotic body.

Some people come because they are longing for safe, consensual touch, including nurturing touch and cuddling. Others desire the experience of receiving touch without expectation, performance, or obligation. Some are interested in exploring their relationship with masculinity and experiencing what relating to a grounded, consensual masculine presence can feel like in the body.

Whether you are healing, questioning, experimenting, reclaiming, or simply curious about what else is possible, you are welcome here. You do not have to arrive broken or wounded to desire a deeper relationship with pleasure.

Sometimes the longing for more is enough.

Question 5

Where do sessions take place?

Sessions take place in a private, dedicated space designed for this work — warm, quiet, and carefully held. Location details are shared after our initial connection call. I do not offer remote or virtual sessions for bodywork; the somatic work requires physical presence.

Question 6

How long is a session?

Accepted Answer

Single bodywork sessions are 2 hours. This includes a consent conversation at the start (typically 15–20 minutes), the bodywork session itself, and integration time at the close. Please do not schedule anything immediately afterward—give yourself space to arrive back into the world slowly.

Erotic Embodiment Coaching is more individualized. Session length and frequency vary based on the coaching plan we co-create around your desires, intentions, boundaries, and goals. Some sessions are 90 minutes, while deeper coaching intensives may last 2–4 hours, allowing more spaciousness for embodied exploration, practice, reflection, and integration.

For couples, partners, and people in other relationship structures, coaching can also take the form of extended, day-long, or multi-day intensives. These experiences are collaboratively designed around the needs and intentions of your relationship.

This work isn't meant to be rushed. We create enough time for your body to arrive, explore, integrate, and leave with care.

Question 7

What do I wear for bodywork sessions? What happens during a session?

Accepted Answer

You will be asked to undress to your level of comfort. Draping is always available and used according to your preference. The session begins with breath and grounding, then moves into touch work guided by your nervous system and our ongoing consent conversation. Nothing happens without explicit, enthusiastic agreement. You are always in control of the pace, depth, and direction.

What if I get aroused?

Accepted Answer

Arousal is a natural physiological response and is welcomed without shame. It does not change the nature of the session or create any obligation. We work with arousal as information — as a signal from the nervous system — rather than as something to be acted upon or suppressed. You will never be shamed for your body's responses.

Question 9

How does consent work in sessions?

Accepted Answer

Consent in this work is ongoing, granular, and mutual. Before any touch, we discuss what areas of the body are available, what kinds of touch feel welcome, and what your intentions are for the session. Throughout, I check in verbally and track your nonverbal responses. You can change your mind at any time — about any touch, any area, anything. 'No' and 'not yet' and 'let's slow down' are always honored without question.

What are your professional ethics and boundaries?

I operate under a strict professional ethics framework. I maintain clear professional boundaries before, during, and after sessions. I hold all client information in strict confidence.  I am committed to ongoing education in ethics, consent, and trauma-informed practice. I also regularly engage in consultation with teachers, colleagues and elders in support of ethical accountability.

Question 11

What if something feels wrong during a session?

Accepted Answer

Say so — immediately, and without hesitation. You can stop a session at any time, for any reason, with no explanation required. If something feels off, uncomfortable, or not right, your voice is the most important thing in the room. I will never pressure you to continue. Your safety and comfort are the foundation of everything.

Before Your First Session
